In 2023, Nandini Gupta was crowned Miss World India at the Femina Miss India event held in April. She represented Rajasthan, competing alongside participants from 29 states (including Delhi) and a collective representative for all Union Territories, totaling 30 participants.
For the star-studded finale, Gupta wore a dazzling gown designed by Vietnamese fashion designer Nguyen Tien Truyen. The gown symbolized the River Ganges.
In a social media post, she shared: “The design pays homage to the supernatural beauty of water and light. Ganga is not merely a river but a divine embodiment of purification, renewal, and the sacred link between heaven and earth.”
The Grand Finale will conclude with the crowning of the new Miss World by Krystyna Pyszková—the 71st Miss World—who was crowned last year in Mumbai.
The Miss World 2025 pageant officially began with a grand ceremony in Hyderabad on May 10.
